Bill: Hi, Anna. Oh, you look so happy. You’re beaming. I wonder why.
Anna: Oh, hi Bill. It’s good to see you. Well, you know what? My mum has just phoned me. She says my dog has just come back. It’s wonderful.

Bill: Oh, poor thing. It’s always hard to look for lost pets, even if you offer money for any information about them. And now Rover’s back. They say dogs are very clever and can find their way home, even if they have to cover a long distance to find their master. There must be a grain of truth in such stories then.
Anna: Yes, when you are watching a film like A Way Home, you know, you kind of find it hard to believe it’s a true story. But the example of Rover certainly proves such things can happen.
Bill: How is it now?
Anna: Well, Mum says it’s lost a lot of weight and looks horribly dirty, but that’s not important. We’ll take it to the vet to check its health and wash it and feed it.
Bill: Well, I’m sure in a couple of weeks Rover will be fit and well. I’d like to see it. I love dogs very much.
Anna: Why don’t you get your own dog then, Bill?
Bill: I wish I could get one, but I can’t. My brother is allergic to dogs, sorry to say.
Anna: Oh, then of course you can come to my place. Will the weekend suit you? I think Rover needs some peace and quiet for a couple of days. At the weekend, we can take it to the park and play with it.
