As for the green plant, she’s always liked things like that. If you agree, I’ll pay and order the delivery. Bye! 

Text B. Hi, Sophie! Andrea here. Is your cold getting better? Look, you have to be well by Sunday because I’ve got two invitations for us to the opening ceremony of the new sports centre. On Sunday at 10 am. There’ll be a lottery and the prizes are yearly tickets to the swimming pool. Imagine? You’ll be able to swim every day for free! If you win, of course. And as for the concert on Sunday night – sorry, it was cancelled, so we are not going. Anyway, take care. See you on Sunday.

Text B. Hi, Jane! It’s Amanda. I’m calling to say that we had to change the date of my birthday party.  In the invitation, it’s written as the 14^th of October, which is Saturday, but the weather forecast says it’ll be raining the whole day. Not very good for a garden party, is it? That’s why we’ve moved it to Sunday which promises to be a warm and sunny day. The time is the same — 2pm. Call me on Friday evening to confirm that you’re coming. See you on Sunday!

Text B. Hi, Tom. It’s Bob. Look, you know that we are rehearsing a play for our Christmas concert. The thing is that one of my classmates, who was supposed to play the part of a street musician, has got sick. Could you be the street musician instead of him? Please, don’t worry, you won’t have to memorize anything. You’ll just have to sit at the back of the stage playing your guitar. I really don’t know anyone else who could play the guitar so well. Text B. Hi, Tom. Andrew calling. I’m on a bike ride at the moment and want to ask you a favour. I need to get to my grandma’s place this weekend. She needs some help there with her house and garden. Unfortunately, I can’t take my dog with me and I just wonder if you could walk him on Saturday evening and on Sunday in the morning. Let me know about your decision. OK. And I’ll bring you a bag of apples from the garden whatever your decision is. 

Text B. Hi, Fred! It’s Charlie. I just want to tell you that you were lucky to be late for that film we saw today. Really lucky! Because I’ve never seen anything more stupid! I was about to give up in the middle of the film and leave but Kate and Alice turned me into staying up to the end but they didn’t like it either. Now I feel silly for spending so much time and money for nothing. Anyway, call me back when you have time. Both Kate and Alice send you their regards.

Text B. Hi, dad. I want to share some news. You wanted me to take a French course, so I did that. I was at the language school and took a test for the level. The test didn’t take me long. I know nothing, and, of course, they defined my level as a beginner. And placed me into the lowest group but in that group, I saw Paul, my old friend from primary school. We both were very glad to meet up again after so many years. I believe taking a language course with Paul will be real fun, won’t it? 

Text B. Hi, Vicky! It’s Paul. I’m calling to tell you about our schedule for tomorrow. There were a few changes while you’re away. First of all, the Maths test is cancelled. Instead of that we’re going to have Science. Ms. Adams reminded us that tomorrow we need to be ready with our presentations on chemical elements. In Science class she’s going to see all of them. As for the essay about outstanding people, forget about it for a while. It’s been put off to the next week. See you!

Text B. Hi, Dad! I’m so sorry, it looks like I’m going to be late for Granny’s birthday. You know, right after our excursion to the historical museum I was going to Granny’s house. My timing was perfect! But … A group of Japanese tourists had got lost and asked me how to get to the railway station and while I was explaining the way to them, it started to rain and I got wet to the bone. I had to go home to change my clothes. I’m at home at the moment and heading to Grandma. See you there.

Text B. Hi, Jeff! It’s Thomas. What’s the score? I’ve heard our team has won the first half. Is that true? I’m so sorry I can’t be with you at the moment. So unlucky that the football match and my swimming competition happen to be at the same time. I’m doing well, and my coaches are happy with the result, but our competition is not over yet. As soon as it is, I’ll rush to the stadium. Don’t know how long it will take me, the traffic is heavy. There may be traffic jams.
