The project I am currently working on is aimed at finding out what professions teenagers consider prestigious in your region. I have found a table with the results of a survey. I am going to comment on the survey and give my opinion on the subject of the project.

According to the table answering the question «what professions do you consider to be the most prestigious?», the most prestigious profession is a lawyer, at 53%. A total of 32 % of teenagers choose to be an economist, at 32%, followed by a manager, at 17%.

It is clear from the table that the number of respondents who want to be a programmer is significantly higher than the figure for those who will be doctors. (49% and 10% respectively). This is not surprising, as programmers are better — paid than doctors nowadays.

Regrettably, some problems may arise with choosing a career by teenagers. There is a problem of a lack of self-knowledge. 

Teenagers’ interests and personalities change rapidly. 

It is hard to choose a permanent career based on a temporary phase. To solve this problem teenagers can visit a school career counselor to identify their strengths and suitable careers for them.

In conclusion, choosing a profession is one of the most important decisions for any teenager. Choosing a profession sets the direction for their entire adult life.

The project I am currently working on is aimed at finding out what factors mainly influence the choice of a future career in Zetland. I have found a table with the results of a survey. I am going to comment on the survey and give my opinion on the subject of the project.

According to the table answering the question «who mainly influences your choice of career ?», as many as 22% of respondents follow their teacher’s advice, followed by friends, at 16%. A minority of those surveyed are influenced by other role models.

It is clear from the table that the number of interviewees who follow their parents’ advice is significantly higher than the figure for those who search for advice in the media (40% and 13% respectively). This is not surprising, as parents are the people who are trusted the most unlike the media which is full of misleading information. 

Regrettably, some problems may arise with choosing a future career. There is a problem of a lack of self-knowledge. 

Teenagers’ interests and personalities change rapidly. 

It is hard to choose a permanent career based on a temporary phase. To solve this problem teenagers can take online personality or career quizzes to know what professions suit them better.

In conclusion, many different people can help teenagers choose a future career. They can be family members, parents, older siblings, or even aunts and uncles. At school, there are trained professionals such as career counselors whose job is to help students.
